I’ve got the message
It’s the words I forget
I am the electric buzz
Of a muted TV set

Search through static
For words unspoken
I am the radio
Whose antenna was broken

Crumpled into a ball
And tossed under your bed
I am the paper
Of a poem misread

Listen closely
And I hope you find
We can be the music
That you don’t rewind

True Friend

You can make and find friends easily
But they may not be your true friends
There are friends who you can go out,
talk and have fun with
Who will treat you nice
But you never know who the real ones
and the fake ones
When I met this girl, called Beth
Seemed to be mean
But when I got to know her
I was sure I have found my real friend
She has never jealous with me
Has never talked about
me behind my back.
She can keep secrets
The one who I can trust
She is always there for me
not only through good times
But also through bad times
Unlike some friends that are just there
through good times,
don’t really care when you are down.
A true friend for me is someone like Beth.

Walking backwards barefooted through the grass
our memories become blindfolded
and emotions become nameless

Let’s press rewind
go back to the start

As the butterflies come rushing back
reasons become useless
and excuses are now needless

Let’s put time in reverse
go back to the beginning

As the sun sets in the West
we can now return home
laugh like we used to
live like we once did
