| Grief is an emotional response to the loss of someone or something loved. Healthy grieving is an act of love and remembering love. Grief comes in waves. The first wave of grief might feel overwhelming. However, each wave of grief eventually subsides. Comfort yourself “this too shall pass”. The better you respond to the waves of grief, the more quickly the waves of grief pass and the sooner you will complete your grief process. The grief process lasts from a few months to several years, depending on the type of loss experienced. That means to fight the waves of grief they will just get stronger. Move through your own grief to a point of peace and resolution effectively, and the waves of grief will subside more quickly. Don't suffer from these losses for the rest of your life. Be wiser and stronger in the grief process. |
