The Thief Hits: 1099

Some say I could have stopped this crime
but I swear it happened too fast
as I watched her escaping
escaping her past
just in time
just…
in time

And some say she's trespassed these walls before
but I swear she's just looking for light
as I watched her steal this heart
steal this heart tonight
just once for
just…
once more

The Scenic Route Hits: 1629

Late as always, the boy finds his way
and boards the moving train.
He moves to an open spot,
and sits beside Chance,
. . . or was her name Coincidence?
Curious anyways the boy glances over,
noticing her calling eyes,
and selfish smile,
. . . just asking to be caught.
Was this that game he heard so much about?
or just two people playing Solitare?
Feeling a little optimistic,
the boy keeps pretending,
but saying anything would be a calculated risk.
One can't help but notice,
how this conversation was molded,
by the same men who built these tracks.
And one can't help but wonder,
how the scenery can be passing them by,
and they can be standing in one place.
So he heads to the exit and escapes,
to his trusty scapegoat, "Well maybe next time."
Because this is his stop,
so he's getting off.

The Message Hits: 2503

I've got the message,
it's the words i forget.
I am the electric buzz,
of a muted TV set.
Search thru static,
for words unspoken.
I am the radio,
who's antennae was broken.
Crumpled into a ball,
and tossed under your bed.
I am the paper,
of a poem misread.
Listen closely,
and I hope you find.
We can be the music,
that you don't rewind.

The Game Hits: 2066

Take me from this game,
The game of vague questions & their hidden meanings,
strategic confessions & their empty promises,
Where you can take very little and give even less,

So come aboard with me,
and let's exit this game,
Fly to someplace new,

To a place filled with needs and an impulse,
where we don't have to ask....we just know,
Somewhere we can pass on the searching,
and start observing the outcome,

So come aboard with me,
and let's progress beyond this game,
Invent our own pastime.

Talking to the mirror Hits: 1749

Will I?
Why ask?
"You don't
love for ever."
That is why she
isn't looking.
"Good.".....
...............
...Good looking
isn't she?
"Why is that
ever for love?"
Don't you
ask why?
"I will.".…

Someone Just Like You Hits: 2964

I am the addict
who has quit, but still
has the itch
Turn your back
and keep me searching, it's what keeps you rich
But I continue to live
in poverty, because I am free
Searching thru eyes
that are open, but cannot see
So force a smile
and whisper, tell me this is true
Because I've been waiting
for someone, someone just like you

She Doesn't Get It Hits: 637

I'm not a woman, but she doesn't get it.
I'm not her, but she doesn't get it.
She thinks through her gender,
And soon will regret it.
I think like a man,
But she doesn't get it.
