Your mind was elsewhere
I looked into your eyes, you turned away.
I felt your hand, it was cold.
I tried to smile, you laughed.
I enjoyed your company, your mind was elsewhere.
I tried to hold you, you closed your arms.
I tried to impress you, you weren’t interested.
I close my eyes and see you, you see other men.
I liked talking about you, so did you.
I trust you, you ”need time”.
I like your faults, you remind me of mine.
I love you, your lust has diminished.
I gave you my heart, you took my soul.
Broken Man
When a man looks into your eyes and smiles,
it means he’s laughing inside at himself.
When a man holds your hand,
it means he’s let go of everything else in life.
When a man holds you close,
it means he’s hurting inside.
When a man doesn’t talk over you,
it means he loves your voice.
When a man says your name,
It means he’s forgotten his own.
When a man is shy around you,
he wants to say you’re beautiful.
But most of all When a man says he cares you,
it means he needs nothing in life, but you.
