Lifes roads
We travel these roads of life,
roads that seem to never end,
roads that the destination looks to be right around the corner,
and roads leading us to greed and glory,
roads of enemies, family, and trusting friends,
and roads we get lost on and find our way back to where we started.
There are roads we find every day,
roads forgotten long ago,
and there are roads we can’t find,
roads we’ve known all about,
and there are roads that have us shivering in the dark,
and roads will-lit that leads us to a safe place.
There are roads that miss guide us,
and roads that take us home,
there are roads filled with heartache where tears fall like raindrops.
Yet we all have a compass in us,
if we just take the time to listen,
it will lead us down the right roads to a long joyous journey home.
Heavens gates
As the gates of heaven open,
I stop to think,
this can’t be right,
this can’t be the end,
the lord won’t let me in for all wrong I have done.
When I turn to walk away
I hear the voices of my lost love ones calling out to me
behind those beautiful gates
but I keep walking,
with tears running down my face
knowing I can’t see them
until I have made right with all the wrong I’ve done.
May you find true happiness I once felt
It hurts in my heart to know that you can never love me.
I wish I could end the pain,
but I can’t escape from the life I live here on earth.
I want to die but would you really miss me, would you care if I was gone?
I ask myself what is the point of life if you can’t have the one you love,
but as I cry these tears of blood, I say to you.
may you find true happiness even if it’s not with me,
the happiness that I once felt when I was lying next to you.
Life Love
He knew her years ago but he never thought she would be the one
that could heal the wounds of his broken heart
till the night he looked into her eyes
and saw such beauty that it warmed his heart and stopped the pain
and at that point he knew she was the one he has been waiting for,
but he tried for so long to win her heart
that it brought tragedy into her life the night he thought he had won her heart.
he had so much joy and happiness that he wanted to share with her
but he never got the chances
time had run out for him and the lord above had called him home
and now he will never feel the full warmth of her love.
