    Travelling vs Dating

    Traveling

    Traveling vs. Dating
    How could it be?
Traveling is like short term dating
You want to escape the reality for a moment
You want to escape the boredom for a moment
    To somewhere alien

    Traveling

    You booked a round trip
    With a certain return date
You try to make full use of your short stay
And try new things as many as possible
    Until you’re exhausted
Then you return home with memories

But when you traveled so much
The traveling becomes less and less exciting
Since you have been to so many places
And they’re more alike than different

    Then you figure out
    Things would work differently
If you just stay somewhere longer
To study, to work, or to live
No rush to try new things
Just live the life, taste it
    And explore the place naturally
Gradually fall in love with it without notice
And discover a lot more than a traveler does

    Traveling vs. dating
    How could it be?
    The longer is always better
    Even if it’s not lifelong

    Why are you lonely

    Why are you lonely?
    Perhaps because you’re friendless
    Perhaps because you’re peerless
A beautiful person’s heart is lonely
An excellent person’s soul is lonely
The reason is that they’re matchless
    The sun is lonely
    The moon is lonely
    The stars are countless

    Chronic loneliness is unbearable
    To be less lonely
    Weak people seek dependence
    Strong people seek transcendence
Start from the same point end in different resolutions
    One is lost in emptiness
    One is found in remoteness

One would rather be meaningless than live with loneliness
Because for him loneliness is meaningless
One would rather be lonely than be meaningless
Because life is meaningful and loneliness is merely aloneness
One would not idle away though mateless
While the other would, when for him life is tasteless

    How not to lie

How not to lie, how not to lie
If I cannot divine what’s happening ahead
    Can I still embrace you

How not to lie, how not to lie
If I cherish this heart of gold but I already know there’s a void
Can I still tell you I miss you

How not to lie, how not to lie
If I was too young to perceive we were not meant to be
Can I still try to be with you

How not to lie, how not to lie
If I tried my best but still failed to be the one
Can I still be your friend

How not to lie, how not to lie
If when you finally walk up to me you’re already changed
Can I say Im sorry you’re no longer the one

How not to lie, how not to lie
If I tried to get along but miscommunication accumulates day by day
Can I simply cut the knot

How not to lie, how not to lie
If I thought it was love but it’s merely possession
Can you please set me free

How not to lie, how not to lie
If being with you is torturing
Can you still believe we can care about each other from afar

Please tell me, how not to lie
If we had been true to each other when we were together
Can you be grateful that we have loved and there was never lie

    Simple Words

    Words, words
    they’re sincere
    you can sense the difference
    between the lines
    they’re modest and humble
    with no artificial ingredient
the reason is being so simple
because they’re from the bottom of heart

    Words, words
    they’re comforting
    they accompany and befriend you
at tranquil night they sing to you
a lullaby that is so soothing
    they give you hope
    give you strength
and make your life no longer lonely

    Words, words
    they maybe harsh maybe stubborn
and perhaps they’re even non-fiction nor do they rhyme
but they make you realize what you lack
and linger longer than “Last Friday Night”
they must cross the mountains and cross the sea
because they’re so special and so true
that they’re much more real than what’s around you
