Love is Lonely

You sit by the window…

It’s raining outside and you wait for him…

He promised he would be there that day…

That certain hour and yet…

He doesn’t come

You call him over and over you want to hear his sweet voice…

You sigh and wait…

Then a couple seconds later you get a call…

You don’t believe what she said you scream that they’re lying…

You hang up and start to cry

and you throw the phone at the wall

He promised…

HE PROMISED!

You get up and get something you thought you never used…

You run outside and fall to your knees…

The smell of the rain fills your nostrils you get soaking wet…

Lighting shines across the sky

You open the case and take out the gun…

You put a bullet in it…

Raise it to the side of your head…

And whisper, “He promised.”

Thunder sounds fill your ears.

And now you scream, “HE PROMISED!”

Then everything fades away…
