Teachers are what make the world go round.
Every school day, they teach us a new sound.
We try new words to see how they fit.
They wait until the bulb in our head is lit.

Teachers are what make the world go round.
They teach us the difference between a gram and a pound.
Homework can often be the villain of our day.
Yet, that work is what helps us find our way.

Teachers are what make the world go round.
We learn everything between the clouds and the ground.
Some can be mean and some can be nice.
But, they all just want us is to learn from their advice.

Teachers are what make the world go round.
They can often be as persistent as an Afghan hound.
They tell us that ‘no question is stupid’.
Even when we might think our opinion is putrid.

Teachers are what make the world go round.
With them, our imagination is let free and unbound.
They teach us about Math, English and Science.
In return, all they ask for is a little compliance.

Teachers are what make the world go round.
To them, everything you say is somewhat profound.
There is never a day where something new is not learned.
Teaching us the difference between what’s wrong and what’s earned.

Teachers are what make the world go round.
Even during our biggest struggles, they help us rebound.
The math can be tough as we struggle with geometry.
Yet, they teach us until it’s as easy as – one, two, and three.

Teachers are what make the world go round.
They try to make us feel as if we have just been crowned.
No student is left behind to struggle.
To the teacher, we are all wizards instead of Harry Potter’s muggles.
