Help Me Help You

Like a prisoner surrounded by guilt
You seem to surround yourself by memories
All your bridges are burned to the floor
But you’re trying to rebuild them by their ashes
You’ve got to take yourself out of your miseries

You had never noticed my existence
I had never let down of my persistence
Help me help you,
The time has come to let go
I can’t leave you like this any longer
Help me help you,
Stop pretending like you’re stronger

Do you know how much it hurts me
To see you depressed
Trapped within your fears
To feel you drowning
By your precious tears
Let the silence of the day
Be broken by the whisper of the night
Let the dawn of tomorrow’s sun
Wipe away your tears by a smile

You had never noticed my existence
I had never let down of my persistence
Help me help you,
The time has come to let go
I can’t leave you like this any longer
Help me help you,
Stop pretending like you’re stronger

Don’t let sadness burn your soul
It’s harder to heal a broken soul
Forget the pain before it remembers you
Whatever happened in the past
It was never meant to last
Just like that, a passing cloud
Raining life’s lessons that you’d learned
So never regret it, but be proud

Look at me am over here
I’ve always been and always will be
Standing here by your side
I’m the one burning now
Finding it hard to break my vow
Making it harder to leave you behind
Help me help you!

  1. Doesn’t it just hurt so bad that the one you love hurt and can’t let the past go and then all of the sudden, it began to hurt you also for you seeing that person being hurt.
