An illusion I refuse to peer through

A fate I refuse to obtain

Mask the shame I wear

Bow in silence

I walk this crimson line of lust

Take my hand and show me what mask you manifest to those who judge you

Touch my lips with spoken lies

Look at me with the cold truth

Touch my body with smoldering heat

Tint me with your life

I am yours to command

  1. Some poems are difficult to comment on since they’re so unique and so good, “good” is not good enough to describe them. We can’t find a suitable word and our words are pale in front of them.

  2. Different words though :-) for me, rather what’s behind the words. My words just appear simple without style, melody, or 5 senses, but rather with the 6th sense.
