Space-Up

Rate this poem

Don’t let the milky way
Make a meal out of you, babe
I know that it seems very far
When you look up at thousands of stars
But I’m here to tell you today
That we need to fight
To win this space race

(Chorus)
Get up and start walking this wire
Go ahead and grab ahold of this fire
Mercury is only as close as your
Finger tips can take you
Get a grip
On this galaxy

Citizens please don’t stop moving now
My rocket ship is coming around
The year 3000 is not what we need
The orange foam is all they can see
They’ll be the ones to clean all these space rocks
When all of Saturns rings have been lost

(Chorus)
Get up and start walking this wire
Go ahead and grab ahold of this fire
Mercury is only as close as your
Finger tips can take you
Get a grip
On this galaxy

We aren’t waiting on the wings
For some sort of solution
To this space sized problem
We are molding Jupiter
Into whatever
We need
And I hope all you spacemen can see
That now is the time to

(Chorus)
Get up and start walking this wire
Go ahead and grab ahold of this fire
Mercury is only as close as your
Finger tips can take you
Get a grip
On this galaxy
